“I am fine” She said.

She was not fine. She was far from fine. She was exhausted.

She wanted to be able to be the girl who wrote her name on the foggy car window again.

She wanted to dance in the rain with her sister.

She wanted to go to bed at 9 PM and be woken up by her mom.

She wanted to make a bird bath for the sparrows.

She wanted to sneak a little snack from the fridge.

She wanted to go back in time to when she was full of happiness.

She wanted to be surrounded by people who love her.

No. She was not fine.

So she called her mom. Like daughters always do.

“Mama, what if I fall?” She asked.

“But, my darling, What if you fly?” Her mom said.

So, she came to a realization.

She was not fine but she was strong.

And that was all she needed to be fine again.
